The Village Board accepted Addendum No. 1 to the village design standards and construction specifications (2023 edition) for incorporation into the 2025 edition and approved a parks commission appointment.
Engineering staff summarized the key revisions in the addendum, which include tightening the conditional acceptance process for public infrastructure, adjusting general utility locations to increase separation between storm/water mains and sanitary sewers, adding requirements for compaction testing and geotechnical oversight for road construction, restricting HDPE water main use to selected locations, revising curb-ramp designs to limit snow-removal damage, and expanding the list of acceptable street trees.
Trustees moved and approved the resolution to accept the addendum. The motion passed by voice vote.
On appointments, the Village Administrator reported interviews to fill a vacancy on the Parks Commission and recommended Robert (Rob) Wickstrom to move from alternate to a full commissioner position; trustees noted Wickstrom’s construction background and community involvement and approved the appointment.
The board also approved routine consent-agenda items, including minutes and authorization for the Village Administrator to execute the 2025 Wisconsin Marathon agreement. The meeting concluded with board comments on funding and donor opportunities for parks projects before adjourning.
