Orange Select Board seals nonpublic minutes, approves minutes and $72.58 abatement

The Orange Select Board met Oct. 7, 2025, and briefly entered nonpublic session under RSA 91‑A:3,c to discuss a reputational matter. The board voted 3–0–0 to go into nonpublic at 5:37 p.m. and to exit at 5:53 p.m.; later the board voted to seal the nonpublic minutes. Aaron Allen presided as chair; Lucy LaChance and Samara Pitre voted with him.
During the public meeting the board approved the public minutes of Sept. 16, 2025, and recorded that the Sept. 16 nonpublic minutes remain sealed. Both motions carried 3–0–0 after motions from Lucy LaChance and seconds from Samara Pitre.
The board also considered an abatement request submitted by the Tax Collector related to a late‑recorded tax payment. Select Board member Lucy LaChance moved, Samara Pitre seconded, and the board approved abating $72.58, concluding the resident should not be held responsible for the interest. The abatement was signed.
The meeting concluded with routine review of bills and vouchers. The Select Board set its next meeting for Oct. 21, 2025, at 6 p.m. and adjourned at 6:44 p.m.
