Plaistow Planning Board sets 2026 priorities; plans zoning review and RPC coordination

The Housing section of the Master Plan has been updated on the town website; Nolan Pelletier was thanked by the board for that work. Vice Chair Karen Robinson said she would like the board to revisit and revise the Commercial 3 district zoning language.
Board members discussed updating the town’s Economic Development and Transportation sections and noted the Energy Committee’s solar projects are scheduled to begin work in February and may meet with the Planning Board to coordinate. Members also encouraged participation in NHMA lunchtime webinars as useful continuing-education opportunities.
Why it matters: changes to the Master Plan and to zoning language for the Commercial 3 district could shape future development and permitting decisions in Plaistow. Coordination with RPC could bring technical resources or regional alignment to those updates.
Next steps noted at the meeting included Chair Anthony meeting with RPC and the possibility of scheduling a joint workshop; no formal vote or regulatory changes were taken at the Jan. 7 meeting.
