Mayor Eric Folstad called Glenburn’s organizational meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. July 6, 2026. Council member Taylor Dotson read the Oath of Office for newly seated members.
Council leadership was set through voice nominations and votes. Council member Taylor Dotson moved to appoint Dave Hoff as council president; the transcript records Taylor Dotson and Dustin Dewbre voting “yes,” and the clerk declared Hoff appointed. Taylor Dotson then nominated Dustin Dewbre as vice president; the transcript records affirmative votes from Dave Hoff and Taylor Dotson, and Dewbre was appointed vice president. The transcript records only those specific affirmative votes for the two leadership motions; it does not record additional yea or nay votes for those two items.
The council then discussed committee assignments. After that discussion, the council assigned the Water and Pets committee to Nancy Rolland (absent), Streets to Taylor Dotson, Sewer to Dave Hoff and Buildings to Dustin Dewbre.
Mayor Eric Folstad presented his appointments to city offices, naming Rose Miltenberger as city auditor; the city assessor and municipal judge positions to be covered by contracts with Renville County; Ashley Bealle of Bealle Law Firm as city attorney; and Moore Engineering as city engineer. Council member Dave Hoff moved to approve the mayor’s slate of appointments; Dustin Dewbre seconded. The transcript records a voice vote of “all aye” and the motion was approved. The meeting record notes the motion passed and does not provide individual roll-call votes for that confirmation beyond the recorded voice vote.
Council member Dustin Dewbre moved to adjourn the organizational meeting; Dave Hoff seconded. The council voted “all ayes,” and the meeting adjourned at 6:38 p.m. Signature lines for Mayor Eric Folstad and City Auditor Rose Miltenberger appear on the record (SEG 002 and SEG 003).
