Glenburn plans 250th city celebration, park events and an SRT 75th stop; rural catalyst grant paperwork filed

Planning for a Glenburn 250th celebration is underway: the park board is working on a band (Mr. Spitzer), fireworks, food trucks and memorabilia and suggested timing the event with the Lions Club summer fest in June. Donna Zeltinger will obtain flag designs and pricing to hang on city poles. The SRT organization contacted the city about its 75th‑anniversary tour; the council suggested the park, senior center or fire hall as possible locations.
Donna also reported that Brian Day with the Midwest Assistance Program had emailed to offer emergency‑preparedness assistance; the council noted the city already maintains an emergency plan through Renville County but welcomed the assistance offer. Rural Catalyst grant paperwork was submitted by staff in support of related building or housing efforts.
