The Denton County Commissioners Court adopted a resolution on July 14 recognizing the Flower Mound chapter of the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution for its efforts in historic preservation and education.
A DAR representative accepted the resolution and described the American Revolution Experience exhibit — which the chapter is sponsoring in partnership with the American Battlefield Trust — as an immersive display that will be on view at the Denton County Courthouse on the Square from July 27 through August 12, 2026. Jackie Norell, an appointed Denton County historical commissioner, thanked the court for its support and described the exhibit as the chapter's largest effort to date.
The court praised the chapter's work and voted unanimously to adopt the resolution. Commissioners invited chapter members to the exhibit opening and noted county partnerships in preserving local history.
What's next: The exhibit is scheduled for public viewing at the Courthouse on the Square July 27–August 12, 2026; the court indicated interest in attending the opening.
