Camp Verde council appoints members to Parks, Planning & Zoning commissions

The Camp Verde Town Council confirmed three commission appointments at its June 17 meeting.
Following interview-committee recommendations, the council appointed Sylvia Strobel to the Parks and Recreation Commission to fill a vacancy left by Zachary McKay; Strobel’s term runs through January 1, 2028. The motion to appoint Strobel was made by Councilor Robert Foreman, seconded by Vice Mayor Wendy Escoffier, and passed 7-0.
The council also filled two Planning and Zoning Commission vacancies created by the resignations of Renee Hall and Peter Gutierrez. The interview committee recommended Crisi Clark and Jane Whitmire to complete terms ending January 1, 2028. Vice Mayor Escoffier moved to appoint both candidates, Councilor Patricia Seybold seconded, and the motion passed 7-0.
Town Manager Miranda Fisher reported the interview dates and the committee recommendations; councilors asked standard clarifying questions during deliberations but took no amendments to the recommendations. The appointments provide full membership for the two advisory commissions.
