Planning commission approves minutes, elects officers and hears Master Plan update

At the June 17 meeting the St. Charles County Planning and Zoning Commission unanimously approved the May 20, 2026 minutes and completed officer elections for 2026, appointing Roger Ellis as chairman, Kyle Shell as vice chairman and Jennifer Bahr as secretary.
Staff member Robert Myers updated the commission on the draft 2030 Master Plan, which staff has posted online for approximately 30 days of public comment. Myers said the draft future land-use map emphasizes natural features such as steep slopes, floodplains, tree cover and watershed boundaries and that, following plan adoption by County Council, staff will begin updating the Unified Development Ordinance to align zoning and subdivision regulations with the Master Plan’s guidance.
