The Granite County Board of County Commissioners voted on June 23 to keep Georgetown Lake's outflow at 30 cubic feet per second (CFS), matching inflow for a week while the lake is at or near full pool.
USGS gauge data showed the lake at 6,429.44 feet, 0.72 inches below full pool. Paul Tallon of Flint Creek Hydrodynamics, joined by Fish, Wildlife & Parks representatives Brad Liermann and Michelle McGree, advised keeping current releases. Commissioner Blanche McLure moved to set the outflow at 30 CFS; Commissioner Paul Kulaski seconded and the motion passed unanimously. No public comment was received on the motion.
Commissioners and staff will monitor lake levels and revisit operations if conditions change; the motion explicitly set the flow for one week while full pool conditions hold.
