The Granite County Commission on June 30 approved implementation of the Black Mountain electronic payroll and time-sheet module and tabled any decision about changing the payroll schedule pending employee feedback.
Commissioner Adler moved to adopt the Black Mountain module and Commissioner McLure seconded; the motion carried unanimously. Commissioners also discussed moving from a monthly payroll schedule to twice monthly but directed department heads to gather employee feedback. The question of changing the payroll frequency was deferred until the next meeting when survey results are expected to be available.
County staff said implementation of the electronic module will proceed while the payroll frequency decision is held for additional input. No specific implementation timeline or contract figures were read into the record at the meeting.
