Fire officials report July 31 alarm test at Forbidden Llama; additional smoke detector installed

A Middletown fire department representative told the mayor’s code enforcement panel that a July 31 test of the fire alarm system at Forbidden Llama showed the system was functioning and prompted an additional detector to be installed.
"I conducted a fire alarm test in the system just to verify everything was up and running and there was no issues there," the Fire Department representative said, adding that an extra smoke detector was placed on the ceiling to protect a previously unprotected area.
Panel members were told the system now has full detector coverage in the space and that the department will continue to monitor compliance with building and fire codes. No formal enforcement action was requested at the meeting.
