Town staff and Haas and Associates briefed the council on survey findings that the 1516 hundred block of Lakeshore Drive had little pitch and likely will require curb-and-gutter concrete work; that design change raises the estimated local-match portion. Haas is preparing application documents and requested the council authorize a 20% local-match commitment so the application can be submitted promptly. Anita Grama moved that the president sign the letter; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote.
Council members were told that exact cost figures from Haas Engineering are pending and will be provided before the council’s August meeting. The authorization is limited to signing the commitment letter and does not bind funds beyond normal budgetary approvals.
