The Town Manager reported that Winter Harbor’s Lobster Festival had its largest dinner sales in history and that parade and car-show events were well received, according to the minutes of the Aug. 11 selectmen meeting.
Sara J. Liscomb, Town Manager, also told the board she passed a certification test and is now a Certified Clerk of Maine, the minutes say.
Separately, the Fire Chief/Road Commissioner reported that Summer Harbor Road repairs are finished and that new speed-limit signs will be installed when they arrive.
Why it matters: the Lobster Festival is a major community event whose success can affect local revenues and volunteer engagement; the road work update signals completion of a local public-works project and an upcoming change in traffic signage.
What’s next: no additional actions or schedules for these items are recorded beyond the report that signs will be posted when received.
