St. Paul council approves consent agenda, disbursements and GCA Days permits

The St. Paul City Council on June 15 approved routine consent items, a list of disbursements and permits for Grover Cleveland Alexander (GCA) Days events.
Council member Jerry Woodgate moved to approve the consent agenda — including the May 2026 Treasurer's Report and the June 1 regular minutes — and the council unanimously adopted the motion. The minutes list a range of disbursements for city operations, from routine supplies to utility payments; one large line item was a $122,228.15 payment to Howard Greeley RPPD for utilities.
The council also approved a Special Designated Liquor permit for The Dugout Grill, LLC for a July 11 street dance and authorized closure of Taylor Street on July 12 for fireworks, kickball and a Homestead Bank barbecue; both motions passed 4-0. Certificates of insurance were provided for the events.
Those approvals allow the Chamber and local businesses to proceed with planned GCA Days activities; staff will continue normal event oversight and ensure posted permit conditions and insurance remain current.
