The Cedar Springs Public Schools board recorded several action-item votes on July 13. All items below passed on roll-call votes.
• Annual school bond-loan application — Approved. The board approved the district’s annual bond-loan application to participate in the program that covers year-end debt-service timing; staff noted a roughly $150,000 shortfall on debt service financed through the bond-loan program.
• Student reinstatement (case 252603) — Approved. Following a reinstatement committee hearing and recommendation for unconditional reinstatement, the board voted to reinstate the student.
• MASB superintendent search proposal — Approved. The board approved the MASB contract to begin a 12–14 week search and asked MASB to share draft survey and posting language with the board prior to public posting.
• Varsity girls cross-country trip (Aug. 13–16) — Approved. The board authorized a no‑cost leadership trip for seniors and captains; parents and fundraising will cover lodging and food donations will offset costs.
Each motion was called and approved by roll call; the meeting minutes record unanimous support for the presented items.
