Planning staff explained the changes are intended to keep the countys floodplain ordinance aligned with NFIP requirements and to update statutory references and forms so residents can continue to qualify for flood insurance. "These are quick, simple changes to the ordinance just so we're making sure that we're staying in compliance," staff said, noting the amendments mostly adjust references and statutory citations.
Board members had no substantive questions. On a motion that incorporated the consistency determination language in the agenda packet, the board voted to approve the text amendment; there was no opposition.
