Staff emphasized transparency features required by state law and said the legally required public hearing and final decision are scheduled for Aug. 27 at 6 p.m.; residents will be able to comment in person or virtually under the new process. Staff said they will publish the site publicly after incorporating council feedback and adding a simple comparison showing the city share of a typical property‑tax bill (about 9.5% in 2025).
