Residents press council on sulfur-tainted water and a condemned mobile home; staff pledges follow-up

A resident who identified herself as Anna (speaker 7) and an associated speaker (speaker 8) said a January water test showed sulfur levels "3 times a normal" and that the smell persists after flushing and water-softener maintenance. The resident said she is concerned for children in the home, including a child with a single kidney, and that Facebook respondents had reported similar odors. City staff asked for contact and test information and pledged to investigate and follow up.
Later in public comment Fred Frost (speaker 5) described a mobile home that had been condemned, moved to Pinto Lane about 1½ years earlier and remained unskirted with loose trash, insulation and appliances being blown around. Frost said the dwelling is a hazard with animals and the interior exposed. City staff said they were not previously aware of that particular location, had spoken with the code official and would contact state inspectors and develop a plan to address the property.
Councilors and staff urged residents to provide specific test results and addresses so staff can act; both public-comment items ended with staff commitments to follow up.
