Wearing Parkland gear, they helped "Dolly" get the car out of the ditch; the woman later sent a letter to the high school and athletic department thanking the team (speaker 4).
"We're great on the field. We're great in the classroom, but we're probably better in the community," Meng said, praising players for helping a resident in need (speaker 4).
The recognition was followed by photos and brief applause, and the meeting moved into district updates and routine board business.
