River Ridge CDD adopts FY 2025 budget and imposes special assessments

The River Ridge Community Development District Board of Supervisors adopted the fiscal year 2024/2025 budget and approved related special assessments during a public hearing and regular meeting on Aug. 27, 2024.
District Manager Chuck Adams said the budget included in the published agenda was incorrect and staff made scrivener corrections, including clarifying the "Street sweeping" description. Mrs. Adams opened the public hearing; no affected property owners spoke. On a motion by Mr. Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Robert Twombly, the Board adopted Resolution 2024-07, adopting the annual appropriations and the FY 2025 budget as amended.
Tony Pires, District Counsel, recommended opening the public hearing on Resolution 2024-08 (making a determination of benefit and imposing special assessments for FY 2024/2025). Mrs. Adams opened the hearing; no property owners spoke. The Board instructed staff to delete all references to "Exhibit B" (Page 2 and throughout) and, on motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly, adopted Resolution 2024-08 as amended.
All motions related to the budget and assessment resolutions were recorded "with all in favor," indicating unanimous approval among the supervisors present. The resolutions authorize the assessment roll, provide for collection and enforcement of assessments, and include standard severability and effective-date language. The Board also authorized the usual provisions for budget amendments going forward.
The adoption concludes the district’s formal budget and assessment process for the coming fiscal year. The FY 2025 budget and the amended assessment documents will be included in the district’s records and posted per statutory requirements.
