The Environmental Advisory Council reviewed plans for a proposed Lower Saucon Fire Rescue facility and the accompanying stormwater documentation.
Committee member who reviewed the plans said they did not see significant changes to the site footprint and noted the building height is being reduced to meet township ordinance. "They're actually reducing the height to meet ordinance," the member said, adding that impervious surfaces also appear reduced.
Members raised routine concerns—lighting spillover, heavy fire-truck loads affecting pavement choices, and how to protect an existing small schoolhouse on the site—but had no substantive environmental objections. On stormwater, the committee received a response package from Hanover and noted several items are the County Conservation District’s responsibility; the EAC agreed to review materials and to update public-facing guidance where needed.
