“The city engineer clarified that this had nothing to do with the data center. It was strictly for NEP,” Laieli said during public comment, describing a map that showed the site’s proximity to the data center and a nearby golf course.
A staff member told Laieli that Northeast Precast "may apply for UEC funding" but that such requests would be considered by the City Council. Staff recommended residents email the business administrator with questions to ensure staff and counsel can gather necessary information before responding.
The meeting record shows no formal council action on the site plan during the session; the matter was described by Laieli as being in the site‑plan review process and, if NEP seeks economic‑development funding, that request would be treated separately and placed on a council agenda.
