The meeting also included a brief administrative slate of license updates from staff. Lori, identified in the record as an officer, told the board that a temporary bureau permit for Habitat for Humanity had been approved on July 2 “immediately following the bureau board meeting.” She listed several pending new applications by license number and name and noted the status of each: Sluggo’s North Vegetarian Cafe (beer 1424) was approved by legal, 1517 Mitchell Catering (beer 1425) had been approved earlier that morning, and another application remained on hold pending legal and zoning review.
On the minutes: a board member raised a correction to the June 18 minutes, saying the transcript lists them both making and seconding a motion for Baby Huey’s LLC and that "I don't know if I made the motion or I seconded it, but I couldn't do both." The board then moved, seconded and unanimously approved the minutes for July 2 with the necessary corrections.
During discussion of scheduling options, members considered alternatives including Aug. 5, Aug. 7 and Aug. 13 and referenced the board’s ordinance requirement to meet twice per month. After debate about calendar conflicts and staff availability, the board acted to move the meeting to Aug. 7.
The board adjourned after noting there were no public commenters present. Staff was asked to file the legal notices for the date change and to continue processing license applications according to legal and zoning review.
The next regular Beer Board meeting will take place on Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, per the board vote.
