The Fargo Liquor Control Board on July 15 approved three license actions covering two new restaurants and a long-time Fargo bar.
City licensing staff presented a transfer of a class AB license from Litton Enterprises LLC, doing business as Duffy's Tavern, to Duffy's Tavern LLC (the Pullman family) at 16 12th Street South. Licensing staff said the transfer was properly advertised, background checks raised no issues, and the new owners do not plan major changes. Board member Scott Brecky moved to approve the transfer and a motion to approve carried by voice vote.
The board also approved issuance of a class FA (full-service) license to La Teresa LLC, doing business as La Teresa Mexican Bar and Grill, at 5570 32nd Avenue South. Licensing staff noted an FA license requires that at least 50% of sales be food; the packet listed Maria as owner and Jesus as manager. A motion to approve the FA license carried by voice vote.
Finally, the board approved a class GH (beer-and-wine) license for Divine Taste of Africa (doing business as Taste of Africa) at 855 45th Street South, Suite A1. Licensing staff said police background checks were approved; board members praised the restaurant's strong community reviews. A motion to approve carried by voice vote.
All three items were handled during the meeting's licensing-review agenda and were approved without recorded roll-call tallies.
