The Borough of Old Tappan Mayor & Council on Tuesday adopted a multi-item consent resolution that included contract awards, a county snow-plowing agreement, inclusion in Bergen County’s Community Development program and renewals of 2026–2027 liquor licenses.
Bill, reading the clerk’s prepared resolution, described the consent package as items that “require no discussion, same having been previously reviewed by each council person, be and hereby adopted in their entirety by the mayor and council.” The listed items included bills and claims, a sidewalk refund for 19 Dearborn Drive, contract awards to Stryker Sales LLC, North Jersey Truck Center Inc., and Cliffside Body Corporation, and a bid advertisement for the 2026 road paving program.
The council moved to adopt the consent resolution, a second was obtained, and the council proceeded to a roll-call vote; the mayor and council recorded affirmative votes and the motion carried. The clerk then moved to approve minutes for several recent meetings, which the council likewise approved by roll call.
The council did not debate the consent items on the floor; items were advanced by consent after the council confirmed they had reviewed the materials in advance. Next steps include executing the listed contracts and proceeding with the advertised road-paving procurement.
