Trappe council appoints Doran Bowman to Planning Commission; Lennar Homes to return with plans

At its Oct. 2 meeting the Trappe Town Council unanimously appointed Doran Bowman to the town’s Planning Commission.
President Schmidt reported that the town had received a letter of interest from Doran Bowman for the open Planning Commission seat. After discussion Commissioner Walter Chase moved to appoint Bowman; Commissioner Rose Potter seconded and the motion was approved unanimously.
President Schmidt also noted that Lennar Homes attended the meeting and will return with development plans at an upcoming council meeting. The council did not take any formal action on Lennar Homes’ matter at this session.
The appointment fills the advertised vacancy on the Planning Commission and the council will consider developer submittals from Lennar Homes when they return with formal plans.
