Trappe extends snow-removal contract with P.E. Moore for two years

The Trappe Town Council on Oct. 2 voted unanimously to approve a two-year extension of the town’s snow-removal contract with P.E. Moore.
Administrator Erin Braband said P.E. Moore submitted a proposal to continue snow removal at a rate of $4,200 per plow and offered either a one- or two-year term at the same price. After discussion Commissioner Jeremy Newnam moved to approve a two-year contract; Commissioner Walter Chase seconded and the council approved the motion unanimously. Braband confirmed the town does not pay unless P.E. Moore is requested to plow.
The contract extension keeps the town’s plowing arrangement unchanged except for the contract term; the council recorded the formal approval at the Oct. 2 meeting.
