The Burlington Township Library Board approved the consent agenda and set a six-week summer reading program that will run June 17–July 29, 2026, meeting from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. each week, with no session the week of July 4, at its May 13 meeting.
Kara Bercaw, a committee member, moved to approve the consent agenda; Rosemary Johnson, a committee member, seconded the motion and it passed. The meeting was called to order at 6:00 p.m.; attendance listed Essa Bercaw, Kara Bercaw, Mary Gale, Rosemary Johnson, Kerry Smith and Kim Smith, along with attendees Nathaniel Motinger, Holly Cavinder and Darlene Mack.
The board recorded receipt of a donation of books. Library staff Holly Cavinder and Nathaniel Motinger will refresh the library’s collection with the donated materials.
Discussion at the meeting established the summer reading program schedule: six weeks running June 17 through July 29, 2026, with weekly sessions from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and no program the week of July 4. Nathaniel Motinger was assigned follow-up tasks: to pursue a refund from Burlington, NJ Hoopla and to organize advertising for the program, including placing a sign in front of the library and posting information on the library’s Facebook page.
Kerry Smith, a committee member, moved to adjourn; Rosemary Johnson seconded and the motion passed. The meeting adjourned at 6:29 p.m.
