The Plympton Board of Health recorded approvals for a slate of septic plans and documented a set of pending and failed systems during its June 9, 2026 meeting.
Health Agent Kevin Forgue reported that the board approved repair, upgrade and new septic system plans at multiple properties, and that several as‑built submissions and certificates of compliance (COC) were signed. Addressed approvals and status items listed in the minutes include:
Approved plans (plan type and permit expiry as recorded): 110 Center Street (repair; permit expires 9/13/26), 25 Oak Street (repair; permit expires 10/24/26), 30 West Street (new system; permit expires 7/24/27), 159 Center Street (repair; permit expires 10/9/27), 17 Winnetuxet Road (new; permit expires 10/22/27), 19 Forest Street (repair; permit expires 11/26/27), 112 Main Street (new; permit expires 11/26/27), 0 Main Street (new; permit expires 1/14/28), 387 Main Street (upgrade; permit expires 4/8/28), 31 Parsonage Road (new; permit expires 5/13/28), 77 Spring Street (new; permit expires 8/26/28), and 123 Palmer Road (new; permit expires 3/10/29).
As‑built/COC items: 9 Upland Road (upgrade; as‑builts in; COC signed), 50 Spring Street (D‑box replacement complete; COC signed), 73 West Street (repair; final inspection complete; awaiting as‑builts).
Pending plans awaiting submission or review included 40 Ring Road, 23 Palmer Road, 0 Pleasant Street, 0 Parsonage Road and 373 Main Street. The Health Agent noted ongoing administrative follow‑up to obtain outstanding plans.
Failed and conditionally failed systems recorded in the minutes included 50 Forest Street (failed per Title 5 report, 12/1/2017), 50 Maple Street (conditional pass; D‑box replacement needed), 36 Colchester Street (failed per Title 5 report dated 6/6/25) and 36 Parsonage Road (failed per Title 5 report dated 8/25/25). The board recorded no vote to approve remediation plans at this meeting; these sites remain on the file for follow‑up action.
Why it matters: the approvals and signed COCs allow permitted work to proceed; failed systems are flagged for remediation, which can affect property transactions, construction timelines and local groundwater protection.
Next steps: applicants with pending plans must submit final plans for review; the Health Agent will follow up on failed systems and the D‑box replacement case noted for 50 Maple Street.
