ZEF awards $110,057 in grants; Skillman updates construction work and student internships

Zionsville Education Foundation Director Catherine Moser told the ZCS Board on May 11 that ZEF is marking its 30th year and awarded $110,057 in grants this school year. Moser described fundraising and engagement initiatives including a Kindy Club for incoming kindergarten students, the Eagle Honors staff appreciation program, ZEF Bash on Nov. 7, 2026, and a Trivia Night scheduled for Feb. 26, 2027.
Victor Landfair of The Skillman Corporation provided a construction update covering the ZCHS locker room addition and renovation, the Early Learning and Educational Services Center construction, the ZCHS auditorium renovation, and districtwide summer work such as temperature-control upgrades at Union Elementary and Zionsville West Middle School and sidewalk and curb replacement at several sites. He introduced Lindsey Kraick, who outlined Skillman’s approach to engaging high school students in work-based learning.
Two ZCHS seniors, Dane Carr and Luke Peevler, spoke about their internship experiences with Skillman. Superintendent Rebecca Coffman closed the report by announcing that Zionsville Community High School, Zionsville Middle School and Zionsville West Middle School were recognized this school year as Project Lead The Way Distinguished Schools.
