The Angel Fire committee voted to forward a proposal for fortified structures labeled J and H to the Village of Angel Fire for consideration.
Chair opened the item and said the committee "has received a fortified structure J and H proposal" and asked members for discussion. Committee members noted the proposal "excludes the electric service and installation," and asked whether electrical engineering and design were included. One committee member asked for clarification: "You said, excluded items is electric service and installation, but we do have engineering and design at the top for the project. But you're saying that the electrical engineering is also excluded?"
A participant said an outside firm being considered did not have in-house electrical engineering and that a requirement from Bob Koster is for an engineering solution so that purchasers "know exactly what to install." The Chair summarized that the proposal is otherwise complete "minus the electric work" and asked whether the committee was prepared to forward it.
Frank moved to forward the J & H fortified-structures proposal to the village; Cathy seconded. The committee approved the referral by voice vote with no recorded opposition.
The committee recorded that electrical service and related engineering are excluded from the current proposal and will need separate procurement or confirmation from the village. Members requested engineering design papers and diagrams (the committee noted Max Drilling as the driller for the well casing documentation) and emphasized that the village should verify electrical engineering details before issuing permits or a certificate of occupancy.
The committee scheduled follow-up with village staff; the item will next be considered by village officials as part of their permitting and infrastructure review.
