The Denali Borough School Board unanimously approved memoranda of agreement (MOAs) with district bargaining units to provide a 4% bonus to all district employees.
The motion to approve the MOAs and the bonus was moved by a board member and passed on a roll call vote with all members voting yes. Superintendent Dan Poulton said the district's revised revenue picture and recent one‑time state funding made the bonus possible and that staff had responded with gratitude.
"It was wonderfully received, greatly appreciated by staff," the superintendent said, noting an anecdote where a staff member wrote back to express thanks. The board recorded the unanimous vote and the MOAs will be processed through the business office.
