Curry County board approves minutes, records-retention form, web contract and an insurance deductible payment

The deputy clerk presented a Shortgrass Web Development bid to build and host the county website for $3,000 (one-time) and $350 per year for hosting. Commissioner Teske moved to accept the proposal; Commissioner Keltner seconded and the motion passed.
The clerk recorded a Mako property-casualty insurance premium invoice of $105,000 and a subsequent motion to pay the defense deductible from the insurance-liability account (account 2190). The minutes transcribe the deductible payment motion amount as $2,195,000; the board voted to approve the motion. Deputy Treasurer Cheryl Morrison (self-identified in the meeting) presented a proposal to pursue a resolution making a DMV veterans option tax permanent in the county and cited Montana code as authority; commissioners directed staff to proceed with drafting the resolution.
The clerk also presented payroll and multiple voucher batches for signatures and announced upcoming budget workshops that will cover treasurer, DES, library, justice of the peace, clerk and recorder, cemetery, senior center, ambulance and hospital funding, and other departments. The board adjourned after a motion by Commissioner Teske and a second by Devlin.
