Council hears Athens Services update and recognizes Mill School as California Distinguished School

Athens Services provided an update on landfill use, rates and economies of scale; the Council presented Mill School and Technology Academy with a California Distinguished School certificate.
At the May 27 meeting the Whittier City Council received a presentation from Athens Services and recognized Mill School and Technology Academy as a California Distinguished School.
Mayor Joseph A. Vinatieri invited Vicky Martinez Muela of Athens Services to present operational updates and answer council questions about economies of scale, landfill usage and rates. The record shows Martinez Muela responded to council inquiries during the presentation.
The Council also recognized Mill School and Technology Academy. Dr. Brad Mason introduced members from Mill School and the Whittier City School District; Mayor Vinatieri presented a certificate to the school and the council congratulated the staff and students on the award.
