Walton council approves multiple ordinances, awards street and park contracts; budget clears 5-1 vote

Council member Dan Martin moved to approve an amended second reading of Ordinance 2025-03, which revises the city's personnel policy language related to the city vehicle/home fleet regulations; Council member Caleb Flege seconded and the motion passed on a recorded roll call of those present. The council also approved second readings of Ordinance 2025-05 (assigning responsibility for water meter pits to the builder/owner until occupancy permit approval), Ordinance 2025-06 (revising water connection fees) and Ordinance 2025-07 (requiring applicants seeking water or sewer system extensions to pay for any required testing or computer modeling and to reimburse the city for those expenses). On budget matters, Council member Dan Martin moved to approve Ordinance 2025-09, the annual budget for July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026; Council member Rose Beach seconded.
