Zacker said event organizers are already debriefing and will solicit community feedback to improve next year's festival. He said priorities include more shade and seating so people can stay longer, better vendor support and contingency plans for heat or rain to keep attendees engaged.
The mayor thanked volunteers and community partners, noting that organizers intend to examine fundraising and sponsorship models so the event can grow without sacrificing the fireworks and other key attractions. He encouraged residents to share ideas with city staff and through upcoming outreach channels described later in the interview.
The mayor noted the event helped bring activity to the riverfront and said officials hope improvements will increase vendor returns and community enjoyment in future years.
