Board hears expansion and successes in visual and performing arts

Agner highlighted competitive successes: ensembles from George Washington High School, Bonner and Westwood received superior ratings in regional competitions, and Bonner Middle School earned Blue Ribbon status for performing arts. She described transition activities—elementary visits to George Washington High School for incoming students—and increasing after-school club options to boost participation.
Board members thanked Agner; Doctor Williams commented on the connection between music and math learning. The presentation was informational and drew questions about the alignment of middle- and high-school curriculum.
