At its meeting the Seminole governing bodies approved a bundle of procurement and contract items affecting capital projects and operations.
Key approvals included: a $15,459.95 low bid for structured network tabling; a $16,780 low bid for a commercial IP video surveillance system; a sole-source signage bid of $134,649 from Cross Design and Lighting Inc.; and a $104,621.25 award for restaurant and bowling furniture for the Hays Seminole Family Entertainment Center. Staff said some design elements will be trimmed to meet budget limits; council approved motions and passed each item by roll call.
Council also approved a $5,000 pre-design consultation with Greenspan Projects US to develop a turnkey mini-golf course within an $850,000 budget envelope, citing two RFP responses (one well above budget and one that offered a turnkey option if the city funded an initial design phase).
On municipal infrastructure, the Seminole Municipal Authority approved invoice #22 from Crossland Heavy Contractors for $875,034.43 related to the new wastewater treatment plant and also approved an $18,049.56 invoice from Wall Engineering for engineering and inspections. The council approved a transfer of portions of the municipal authority fund balance to capital reserve accounts (Warren Boulevard and others) with some reallocation discussed and approved during the meeting.
Other items included authorization to surplus identified public works vehicles and approval of a state-bid lease agreement with Warren Cat for a Caterpillar 926 wheel loader at $4,007.12 per month and a $93,975 purchase option at lease-end. Council members approved these items by roll call during their respective agenda sections.
Where roll-call responses were read aloud, council members answered in the affirmative and the chair declared motions passed. No member-level dissents were recorded in the transcript for these items.
