Kathi Padgett, co‑chair of the Tamworth CIP Committee, called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m. Tuesday at the Town Office. Present were Padgett, Kyle Ball, Ann Pollard and Nick Grant; Emily Nolan, Eleanor Aparicio and Hillary Behr were listed as absent.
Ann Pollard moved to approve the minutes of the Sept. 10, 2025 public hearing; Kyle Ball seconded. The motion carried 3-0-1, with Nick Grant recorded as abstaining.
The committee skipped a planned overview of its brief because no new members were present. Members then assigned contacts for town departments and local agencies: Nick Grant was assigned as the contact for fire and rescue functions and listed as the Emergency Management contact though the emergency management director was not specified in the minutes; Kyle Ball was assigned police and Cook Memorial Library contacts; Kathi Padgett was assigned highway and Planning Board contacts; Ann Pollard was listed as a liaison for the Transfer Station alongside BJ Pessia and Steve Shaeffer, with Richard Doucette identified as overseeing improvements. Ned Beecher was named as the Conservation Commission contact. The minutes record that an Economic Development contact does not currently exist and that Hillary Behr is the School District contact. John Wheeler and Mark Albee were listed as Cemetery Commissioners; Kathi Padgett said she will contact John Wheeler.
The committee confirmed a calendar of meetings to be held at 6 p.m. on the last Tuesday of each month, agreeing to forego the May meeting because it falls during a holiday week. Scheduled dates noted in the minutes include June 30, July 28 and Aug. 25; a public hearing is scheduled for Sept. 16. Padgett will send reminders at the end of May.
Under other matters, committee members supported Kyle Ball’s request to include dedications to Jack Waldron and Steve Gray in this year’s report. The minutes note a memorial service for Jack Waldron on July 25 at the Grove.
Ann Pollard moved to adjourn at 6:51 p.m.; Kyle Ball seconded, and the meeting was adjourned. The minutes are signed "Respectfully submitted" by Melissa Donaldson, Planning Board Clerk.
