Washburn committee approves minutes and financial report, signs golf-scramble contract and closes benefit account

The Washburn Community Committee on July 16 approved routine governance items, authorized a contract tied to an August fundraising golf scramble and voted to close a dormant community-benefit bank account.

The committee also approved the financial report after a brief question about a $107 line shown for a funeral; Chair (S1) noted that "Miranda was asking about that $107," and members said they would check the line item before filing. Committee member (S2) moved to approve the financial report and Committee member (S3) seconded; members approved the report by voice vote.

Committee members discussed a contract related to the golf scramble scheduled for Aug. 25. Committee member (S3) outlined the event timeline — registration at 4 p.m. with a 4:30 p.m. shotgun start — and asked the committee to sign the contract.
