The Tamworth Road Study Committee agreed May 6, 2026, to present its inventory of roads lacking recorded town actions to the town Road Agent and the Select Board and accepted the minutes of April 1, 2026.
The committee recorded two roads—Depot Road East and Whittier Road East—as discontinued and accepted those changes. Day Ballard Road was also recorded as discontinued. Members noted that Cleveland Hill Road appeared as a Class VI road and instructed that coordinates be added to clarify whether state maintenance applies; the committee flagged Cleveland Hill Road as probably not a town road.
Paul King presented a compiled list of roads that appear on maps or in state inventories but for which the town has no recorded actions. Committee Secretary Chris Conrod and member David Little agreed to forward their notes on roads identified as "not a town road" so King can combine the materials into a single report. The group also said hard copies of reports and maps need to be printed before further review.
The committee agreed to present its consolidated findings to the Road Agent and Select Board before holding any public presentation, and to continue meeting through the summer with meetings planned in July and August. Members set the next meeting for June 3, 2026. The meeting was called to order at 7:05 p.m. and adjourned at 8:38 p.m.
Minutes were submitted by Chris Conrod, Road Committee Secretary.
