To address rising needs, the humanitarian community issued a revised response plan for the remainder of the year, increasing funding requirements from $1.4 billion to $2.3 billion. The revised plan includes $313 million specifically dedicated to Ebola response and aims to assist about 10.8 million people by year‑end.
The UN said partners are scaling up operations but stressed that security, safe access and international support are essential to contain the outbreak and deliver life‑saving assistance.
