"The people evaluate this site thought in ADA terms instead of New York State accessibility," the speaker said, adding, "This board now knows something it didn't know before tonight."
They requested the board direct staff to review recent occupancy and accessibility approvals for religious properties, reinspect the Church Road property using the state accessibility code, and correct any approvals that relied on incorrect guidance from code enforcement. The commenter emphasized that leaving incorrect approvals in place would be a choice rather than an oversight.
The Clerk (speaker 3) acknowledged the comment and the board signaled it would follow up, with the transcript recording a plan to provide a final response to the commenter.
