The superintendent reported collected revenue of about 98.63% for the year (compared with 102% last year) and expenditures at roughly 93.46% through June as staff close the previous fiscal year. He said the district had planned to use $962,000 from reserves last year but actually finished with about $137,000 more in revenue over expenses, producing a favorable variance of roughly $1.1 million compared with original projections.
Based on current accounting, the superintendent said the district now anticipates an ending fund balance of about $16,000,008.22 — “about a $135,000 more than where we had anticipated,” he said — and noted that some accruals were not yet fully reflected in the report. The board was told the finance and HR departments are still closing the books and will provide final numbers when complete.
The board had no public comment on the financials and accepted the report for review. The superintendent and staff emphasized that these figures are preliminary while year‑end accounting is finalized.
