Quinton rejects $15,000 bill from Salem County for Grieves Parkway repairs, seeks documentation

Quinton Township officials on March 18 told county representatives they do not accept responsibility for a $15,000 bill relating to repairs on Grieves Parkway because the county could not provide documentation that the bid process followed legal requirements.
The committee said it did not approve the project and has provided supporting email requests and documentation to Solicitor Vigilante in December 2025. The clerk was asked to follow up with the solicitor and to notify Salem County by certified mail that the township is not responsible for the charge.
No payment was authorized at the work session and no formal settlement was reached; the township will seek to resolve the matter through further communication with county counsel.
