Quinton Township officials said on March 18 that Osprey Solar Group has expressed interest in redeveloping the township landfill for solar use and that the township solicitor recommended preparing a resolution to identify the site as an area in need of redevelopment.
Solicitor Vigilante advised the committee that designating the landfill as a redevelopment area would be an appropriate first step to start the process. Acting Municipal Clerk Emily Thalwitzer was directed to draft the resolution for the April 7 agenda so the committee can consider formal action.
The committee did not take a vote on redevelopment at the March 18 work session; staff were assigned to prepare the resolution and supporting materials for the next public meeting.
