The Eldred Central School District Board of Education approved the superintendent’s completed performance evaluation and authorized a 4% salary increase, saying the superintendent had met the effective status called for in the contract.
After a closed executive session on a contract and pending litigation, the board approved a settlement agreement and general release between the district and an employee identified in the transcript as "employee number 01447." The board authorized the superintendent to execute the settlement documents. The transcript states that monetary consideration for the settlement will be funded by the district’s insurance carrier, recorded in the minutes as "New York schools insurance repco." The board resolved that the signed agreement will be maintained in official records and not attached to publicly available minutes except as required by law.
The board also approved an employment-related agreement and release with the district administrative association and David Scott Krebs, director of structural services, accepting his resignation with an effective resignation date to be mutually agreed upon but no sooner than Aug. 31, 2026. The board authorized the president and superintendent to execute the agreement on behalf of the district.
All three motions were made, seconded and approved by voice vote as recorded in the meeting transcript; one board member abstained from a separate consent vote for personal reasons. The board indicated the settlement and retirement agreements were reviewed during executive session and returned to public session for formal approval.
