Hardin County EMS awarded nearly $55,000 for training modernization

At the start of the July 14 meeting the presiding judge announced that Hardin County EMS had been awarded nearly $55,000 through an "education and training modernization" grant program. The judge said the award is a 100% grant and will fund updated pediatric and adult CPR mannequins, difficult-airway training mannequins, enhanced AV equipment (cameras and microphones) for virtual education, speakers and other training items to support initial and continuing education for EMS personnel.
The judge congratulated EMS Director Mark Peterson and the department for securing the award. No further action was required at the meeting; the judge characterized it as entirely grant-funded.
