Hardin County’s Fiscal Court approved its consent agenda during the July 14, 2026 regular meeting, voting to accept a package of finance items, service agreements and personnel actions.
At the meeting the presiding judge reviewed several resolutions included on the consent agenda, among them a $627,000 LARP (Local Asphalt Repair Program) memorandum of agreement covering maintenance on 11 county roads and a grant application seeking a $100,000 state match for a Middle Creek Road project with a total estimated cost of about $280,000. Other items approved included an animal care-and-control equipment lease, an HCEC-TV production service fee agreement, a surplus vehicle transfer from the sheriff’s office to Hardin County 911, and several personnel resolutions for 911, animal care and control and EMS.
The court moved and seconded approval of the consent agenda and carried it on a roll-call vote with all present voting yes, as read by the county clerk. The judge said written reports were available and noted one fire chief report would be deferred to a future meeting.
The court’s approval clears the county to finalize the LARP MOA and to proceed with the Middle Creek Road state-match application; the judge said the LARP funding represents a "big chunk of money" for road maintenance.
Next steps: staff will complete paperwork tied to the LARP MOA and the Middle Creek Road grant application and report back to the court at a future meeting.
