Exeter River remains under consideration for DES in-stream flow study; decision pending

Steve Cronin, Exeter's public works director, told the River Advisory Committee that the Exeter River was among three rivers proposed for the next round of in-stream flow studies overseen by the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services.
"You assisted us by supporting a letter in support of that," Cronin said, noting public comment on the nomination closed on May 26 and that submissions were forwarded to the New Hampshire Rivers Management Advisory Committee, which met July 10. Cronin said the committee is awaiting the outcome of that review.
The update was brief; Cronin said there was not much new to report while the state reviews comments and ranks nominations. Committee members had no follow-up questions at the meeting and the item concluded.
